About
Origins of Membership Foundation and Brief Mission Statement
One day I asked myself how could I promote my own art while also cross promoting the people I’m connected to both creatively and in business?
My solution was to create a Social Media System where an advertiser sponsors an emerging group of artist from a pool of portfolio/art sites.
Most advertisers spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year trying to connect to people in the social media sphere. In response to that the Membership Foundation allows the advertiser to scale the amount of artists they sponsor. The position this creates for the sponsor is one of increased Social Media visibility.
The sponsor puts the artist in the perfect position to start bringing in some much needed attention and most importantly sales to themselves.
As of now the Membership Foundation only supports artists who are able to showcase works on the Artist Profile Pool. So far only photographers, painters, illustrators, writers, designers, and the like will be supported. I do have plans to expand the Current Site List for 2013 to include a wider range of artists, such as musicians.
As of now we can only support sites that have the ‘gift’ option. The user will receive the gifted pro membership then they will be able to upgrade their free account from there.
The Membership Foundation will do its best to find people who show promise, who show a drive to “go beyond”. Are they regularly posting new works? Are they active in the web sites online community?
Stats from the various features on each site will be used in the selection process. For example how many fans they have, involvement in the community, how often they post new art, etc.
There may come a day when The Membership Foundation is able to reach out deeper to help the artists once we have taken them on, but for now they are left to there own devices on how to proceed with the membership.
